This is the front cover of my Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle fanfiction. I got the idea for the werewolf's fur patterns and cute ears from my all time favorite werewolf artist: :iconbarrin84:, and for the body pose and tail Wolf & Spice was my inspiration, and last but not least; the shadow of a real wolf idea came from another one of my favorite animes Wolf's Rain (although it was reflections in mirrors and water in Wolf's Rain, not shadows). The paws idea was my own coz' I thought that she'd look too much like a cat otherwise.

This fanfic takes place right after the last ever episode of the anime, not the manga (hence why Chaos has a cameo in this fanfic).

PLEASE TAKE NOTE: THIS IS A SAKURA & SYAORAN FANFICTION! (even though it's mainly based around Sakura). THERE IS NO YAOI AT ALL IN THIS FANFICTION, ONLY THE USUAL COMEDY MOMENTS FROM KUROGANE AND FAI LIKE ALWAYS!

And for those who are not familiar with fanfic terms; Lemon means sexual content (e.g. love-making, intimate situations, rape, etc), and Lime means near-sexual content (e.g. attempted rape and molestation, groping, nudity, etc).

Anyway here's the blurb and all of the chapters of the fanfic itself:
On the night of a full moon in the World of Wolves; Syaoran the archaeologist, Princess Sakura, Kurogane the exiled ninja, Fai .D. Flourite, and Mokona Modoki arrive at the home village in search of one of the many lost feathers of the princess' heart and soul, only to become involved in a hunt for a monster of myth and legend. One monster of many that live in the forests that surround the very edges of the Village's lands. Monsters that strike terror into the hearts of every villager with each full moon; half man, half beast creatures that can only be named as: werewolves.

Once the monster is found and killed, shot down by the innocent princess herself; the feather is discovered within the beast and returned to the princess; who the boy, Syaoran, loves so much and has sacrificed so much for. But...all's well does not end well this time...
Syaoran and Kurogane were bitten. The series of mass killings of livestock start up once again, and the villagers blame them both.

Meanwhile however...the princess is acting so strangely; nightmares of blood and beasts begin to haunt her every night, she starts blacking out more often than she usually does and almost always at midnight, her body aches and burns under every full moon, the attacks on the farms always happen when she is not around, and animals which normally adore her become frightened whenever she passes by. Including little Mokona.

Who is really behind these attacks on the village? Is one of our heros really a werewolf like the villagers believe? And what is happening to the sweet, loveable princess Sakura? You'll have to read this story of horror, mystery, romance and angst to find out.
But read quickly, the full moon is rising...

Oh yes, the only thing that spoilt it for me was the ending of the anime. I mean, was the ending actually paradise that's been tainted by Daria's eye? And if everyone came back to life then why wasn't Blue with Hige and where were the three human characters who travelled with them? Not to mention Cheza, it just shows a flower and that's it. The rest of the anime before that last episode was great, (Blue and Darcia were my favorites, but I just have a thing for black wolves).

well I might be able to explain a little there...
Well it was a never ending cycle and being that way a part was tainted so all'd play over again...

Blue and Hige were reborn yes...BUT they're clearly human and I think they're not wolves there thinking this way: They're in a day that looks like our own hence I assume wolves in the wild is still alive...just guessing. But since it was that wolves HAD to live with humans that they started to use the illusion in the first place I think they'd not do it unless it proved like there'd be no way in hell they'd survive otherwise...

I also think that they lost their memories when they're reborn. Kiba walks by Tsume and they don't notice each other hinting to that Kiba doesn't know who that person is...
IE: Hige don't know blue XP

the three human might be anywhere...maybe only wolves get reborn in the new world in the first place or they're just off somewhere else XP

heh strange cuz Mine was also Blue and Darcia...I think I might have a similar thing you've got XP

But only the four main wolf characters are present at the very end and in different clothes, so yeah I'm with you on them being just human theory; but with Kiba running like that at the end along with the viewing of a luna flower, somehow I don't think he's entirely forgotten anything.

Yeah, black wolves rule! :w00t:

well it's not the biggest mysetery in the series...this is one I've been pondering on for a while:

You know that wolf in the old mans dream when his house is burning?
There are closeups of one at times who looks an awful lot like Darcia does...the thing is that Darcia didn't had a wolf form up till the time at the end so how could that be? That wolf even got the cursed eye of his.

Here's my theories about that.
1: It IS darcia...I put this one that Darcia claims that he "Recalled the wolf inside him" that would imply that he HAD been a wolf at a time...but at the same time it could just mean that he recalled it as every human is a wolf from the start...they've just forgotten how to change back XP

2: It's Darcia's father. This one makes a bit more sense I think since the curse looked to be hereditary (his grandfather being the first to fall for it when he tried to open the noble paradise) and might as well semi-describe the looks. This also can explain why nothing is seen or heard from him since he got killed by the noble wolf hunting squads XP

Otherwise it's just a big loop hole XP
